Hosting a Company Night at UBS Arena: Suite, Club Seats or Group Tickets?

Arrow

A company outing gives people time together away from their desks, which can make everyday work easier. Colleagues who rarely cross paths get to talk, new hires meet the team, and clients see you outside a meeting room.

A game or a concert is an easy way to make that happen. There is something to watch and something to cheer for, and nobody has to fill the silence with more talk about work.

If UBS Arena is on your list, the big question is where to put everyone. The arena’s premium hospitality includes UBS Arena suites and club seats, and a larger team can buy a block of group tickets.

Which Setup Fits Your Night

A night with two clients looks nothing like a night with an entire department. Start with the situation closest to yours:

  • Entertaining two to six clients: Club seats suit a small party, though you share the space with other ticket holders.
  • Hosting 8 to 16 guests: A UBS Club Box fills the gap between club seats and a full suite.
  • Hosting 14 to 24 clients or executives: A suite gives your guests one private room, at a much higher cost.
  • Rewarding a department: Group tickets seat 10 or more people together. You give up the separate room, but the budget goes further.
  • Bringing 50 to 75 people together: The private bar near Section 210 gives a large company its own space.

UBS Arena Suite Prices

The arena lists suites and boxes at $5,000 to $20,000 per event. The price changes with the event, the day of the week, and the size and location of the suite. Third-party sellers can charge more for high-demand concerts.

A $5,000 suite shared by 16 people works out at about $312 each, ahead of catering. Third-party suite sellers estimate a full meal with drinks at $75 to $150 per guest.

For that money, you get a room of your own, where conversation flows away from the crowd. Preordered food comes to you, so nobody misses part of the event in a concession line.

Suites, Club Boxes and Lounges

A suite is only one choice. The arena sells several kinds of premium space, and they differ mostly in size and in what the price covers:

  • PitchBook Suites hold 16 guests, with room for up to 4 more.
  • JetBlue Mosaic Suites hold 14 to 24 people and have a private restroom.
  • UBS Club Boxes take 8 to 16 guests, and the price covers food and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • For club seats at UBS Arena, the JetBlue Mosaic Lounge takes parties of 2 to 6, with the same food and drinks.

Alcohol costs extra in the boxes and the lounge. Whichever you choose, you get access when doors open.

UBS Arena Group Tickets and the Private Bar

If you are bringing a whole department, UBS Arena group tickets are the next thing to look at. Islanders packages start at 10 tickets, with no maximum. You can add a drink package with three hours of beer, wine, and seltzers. The arena also has group pricing on eligible concerts.

Ask the group sales staff what the private bar includes, since the arena publishes few details about it. Packages can also change from season to season.

Hockey groups can also pay for a photo on the ice after the game, or rent the ice for their own skate. The Islanders do not list prices for these extras.

What the Organizer Should Know

A few rules matter more when you are responsible for everyone else’s evening:

  • Office bags cause trouble: The arena bans backpacks and laptops, so guests coming straight from work should leave them at the office.
  • Tickets are mobile only: You cannot print them, so transfer them to each guest ahead of time.
  • Suite sales are final: Full payment is due at booking, and only a canceled event earns a refund.
  • Catering has a deadline: Preorders close 48 business hours ahead, and you cannot bring outside food into a suite.
  • A big crowd scatters fast: Agree on where to meet after the show while everyone is still together, especially if you arranged a private transfer home.

Choosing Between Group Tickets and UBS Arena Suites

The choice between group tickets and UBS Arena suites comes down to what the night is for. If the goal is time with a few important guests, a suite makes that easier. For a shared night out with the whole team, seats and a drink package may do more.

Once you know the number of people and your budget, the rest of the evening is much simpler to arrange.
