The best time to visit NYC museums is in January and February when everyone has just resumed a normal work/school routine. At this time, the queues tend to be shorter, the galleries quieter, and entrance fees lower. You may also want to look out for special exhibitions during the Fall, around the month of October.

Shopping
There are two periods in the year when New York hosts mass sale offers; that is November/December and April/May.
